SHEPHERDS PIE 
1 1/2 lb. potatoes
6 tbsp. butter
1-2 tbsp. milk
1 lg. onion, chopped
6 veggie patties, crumbled
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 1/2 c. vegetable stock
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Boil the potatoes and mash them in a bowl with 4 tablespoon of butter and enough milk to give a good sticky consistency. Put them to one side. Melt the remaining butter in a frying pan and saute the onions. Then add the crumbled patties, soy sauce, and stock. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. Season to taste.

If you a thicker mixture, blend a little flour with stock and add to the saute. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. Pour the mixture into a baking dish and cover with the mashed potatoes. Bake for 30 minutes until the potatoes are nice and brown.
