PEPPER STEAK 
2 lbs. cube steak or boneless Swiss steak
1 can beef broth
1 can water
2-3 tbsp. flour
1 (8 oz.) can tomato paste
1 tsp. pepper
1 sm. onion, sliced and separated into rings
1 green pepper, cut into rings
1 sm. can sliced mushrooms

Brown meat, peppering generously. Remove meat from fat. To fat, add flour, broth, water, tomato paste, and pepper. Heat to boiling. Layer meat, onion rings, green pepper rings, and mushrooms in baking dish. Pour gravy mixture over all. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours or until tender.
