3 lbs. ground beef, browned 3 c. onion, chopped 1 lg. clove garlic, chopped 1 c. green pepper, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 2 cans tomato soup 1 sm. can tomato paste 1 sm. can tomato sauce 1 lg. pkg. wide noodles 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated Cook onion, garlic, green pepper and celery until transparent. Put beef and cooked vegetables together in large kettle. Add the soups, tomato paste and tomato sauce to meat mixture. Cook over low heat for 6 hours. Cook noodles; drain. Layer meat and noodles alternately in a large baking pan or several smaller casserole dishes. Top with grated cheese. Put in oven until cheese is melted (350 to 375 degrees). Will serve 12 or more. |
