BROCCOLI QUICHE | |
1/2 lb. bacon, fried 1/2 c. minced onion 4 eggs 2 c. heavy whipping cream 3/4 tsp. salt (optional) 1/4 tsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. cayenne (red pepper) 1 or 2 c. steamed fresh broccoli or 1 box frozen (drained) 1 pie crust 1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese Make pie crust. Layer: bacon, on bottom, Swiss, onion, broccoli. Beat eggs (and salt), sugar and pepper and 2 cups cream and pour over all in pie crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes then 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Test with a knife. Let stand 15 minutes before serving. |
