1/2 c. butter 1 1/3 c. water 1/2 tsp. Sweeta 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. nutmeg 4 lg. yams, cooked and sliced 3 tsp. coarsely grated orange peel; optional Combine butter, water, Sweeta, and spices; heat until butter melts. Arrange a layer of slices yams, about 1/3, in shallow, greased baking pan. Pour 1/3 butter mixture over them. Scatter 1 teaspoon orange peel over top. Repeat until all ingredients are used. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes. Serves 6. |
