NUT CRUNCH COOKIES 
2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. light brown sugar, packed
1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 egg
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 1/2 c. roasted chopped nuts

In large bowl measure first 5 ingredients. With hand knead until well-blended. Spread in pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees.

In small saucepan melt chocolate chips over low heat. Set aside.

Remove pan from oven Pour chocolate over baked layer. Sprinkle with nuts.

Cool in pan on wire rack. When cool, cut into bars.
