CLAM CHOWDER 
2 potatoes, diced
1/4 c. minced celery
1 onion, minced
2 cans chopped clams with juice
2 cans clam juice
3 slices of browned bacon
1 tsp. thyme
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
3 tbsp. sherry
1 pt. half and half
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute onions until clear. Add potatoes, celery, and broth. Simmer until potatoes are done. Add herbs, sherry, and clams. Simmer 5 minutes.

Add half and half, bacon, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes.
