CHERRIES IN THE SNOW | |
2 env. Dream Whip topping 1 c. cold milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 lg. cream cheese 1 c. powdered sugar 1 can cherry pie filling 1 angel food cake 1. Two 9 inch cake pans or 9 x 13 inch pan. 2. Mix Dream Whip with milk and vanilla according to directions on package, beat until stiff. 3. In mixer bowl, soften cream cheese, gradually add powdered sugar and prepared Dream Whip beating until smooth. 4. Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture on the bottom of the pan. 5. Cut angel food cake into slices an cover bottom of pan. Make slices thin. You won't use the whole cake. 6. Spoon the remaining cheese mixture over the cake, covering completely. You may want to make another layer with cake. 7. Carefully spoon the cherry pie filling over the cheese mixture and cake. 8. Chill in refrigerator at least 8 hours. |
