1 pkg. devil's food or fudge cake mix
1 pkg. instant chocolate pudding
1/2 c. oil
4 eggs
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. applesauce

Mix all the ingredients together. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan or Bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Can top cake with either powdered sugar, glaze or frosting.
