PEANUT SUGAR SNAPS 
1 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. peanut butter
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
2/3 c. chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla

Sift first 3 ingredients. Work shortening and peanut butter with spoon until fluffy and creamy. Add sugar, slowly, while continuing to work until light. Add eggs; beat until creamy. Stir in nuts and vanilla, then flour mixture. Form into 3/4 inch balls. Place on greased cookie sheet. Press flat with fork. Bake 10 to 12 minutes in 375 degree oven.
