ONION RINGS 
1/3 c. flour
1/3 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. beer
Oil for deep frying
2 tbsp. Wesson oil
1 egg
1 lg. sweet onion

Peel onion. Cut in round slices (not very thick). Separate in rings. Sift flour and salt and cornmeal in bowl. Add beer, oil and egg. Beat until smooth. Dip onion rings in mix and fry in hot deep shortening.
