OVEN BEEF BURGUNDY 
2 lb. beef steak (cut into 1" cubes)
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. brandy flavoring
6 onions, diced
1/2 lb. mushrooms
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. thyme
1 c. condensed beef broth
1 c. red burgundy wine
1 bay leaf

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Makes 6-8 servings.

1. Shake meat with flour, salt and pepper in plastic bag; keep remaining flour. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Brown beef in hot butter, when done transfer to 3 quart casserole. Add brandy flavoring, onions and mushrooms. Sprinkle remaining flour over beef and vegetables.

3. Stir garlic and thyme into drippings in skillet; cook 1 minute. Add beef broth and wine; heat, stirring until mixture comes to boil. Pour over beef and vegetables; add bay leaf. Cover.

4. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Serve with rice, if you wish.
