SPECIAL DILL PICKLES 
15 c. water
6 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. canning salt
2 c. sugar (white)

Bring this brine to a boil and simmer until salt and sugar dissolves. Pour boiling brine over cukes in your jars. You can put garlic in jars if you like. I have found that pickles seal better if they are room temperature when you pack jars with them. Don't forget to put in dill!!
