THE ULTIMATE CHOCOLATE CHIP
COOKIE
 
1 (24 oz.) pkg. Nestle Toll House semi-sweet morsels, divided
2 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small saucepan over low heat, melt 2 cups chocolate chips; set aside.

In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.

In large mixer bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla until blended. Beat in eggs until light and fluffy. Blend in melted chocolate. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in remaining 2 cups chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded measuring tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-9 minutes until cookies are puffed. Let stand 5 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets; cool.
