CABBAGE SLAW 
1 tbsp. (1 env.) Knox gelatin
1/4 c. cold water
1 c. vinegar
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. salad oil

Dissolve gelatin in cold water. Let stand. Heat vinegar and sugar until dissolved, add gelatin. Cool until cream like, beat in salad oil and celery seed, salt and pepper.

Pour over:

8 c. shredded cabbage
1 minced onion
2 carrots, grated
1 green pepper, cut fine

Let stand overnight. Will keep almost a week.
