COUNTRY RIBS AND KRAUT 
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 lbs. country ribs
2 c. water
1 tsp. water
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 sm. bay leaves
1 lb. sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
1 lb. potatoes, cut in chunks

Heat oil in non stick skillet over medium heat. Add ribs and brown on all sides. Drain off fat. Put water, garlic, salt, pepper, bay leaves into casserole. Add brown ribs. Cover and cook for 30 minutes then stir in sauerkraut and potatoes, stir once while cooking. Cook until meat and potatoes are fork tender. Remove bay leaves. Let stand for 10 minutes.
