IRISH BROWN BREAD 
6 c. unbleached, whole wheat or lite wheat flour
2 c. wheat bran
1 tbsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. salt
1 qt. buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients together thoroughly in a large bowl. Add buttermilk and mix until moist. Batter will be sticky. Shape into round loaf on a cookie sheet or fill greased loaf pans. Bake at 425 degrees for approximately 1 hour. Makes 1 large round loaf or 2 small rectangular loaves.
