BAKED KIBBEE | |
2 lb. lean hamburger or lamb 1 c. fine wheat 1 onion, grated Salt, pepper & allspice to taste 1/4 c. pine nuts Soak wheat 15 minutes in warm water; drain. Mix with meat, onion and spices. Add a little water to soften the mixture. Spray a 10 x 14 inch baking dish or pan. Divide the meat mixture in half. Spread 1/2 of the meat mixture in the pan with your hands. Then spread the pine nuts. Now the rest of the meat. Moisten hands and smooth top layer. Cut into diamond shapes if desired. Top with 1/4 cup butter and 1 tablespoon oil. Bake in a preheated oven 400 degrees for almost 1 hour. Serve hot. |
