LEMON TORTE CAKE 
1 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
10 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 c. water

Beat egg whites like for angel food cake. Add 1 cup sugar. Beat egg yolks, add 1 cup sugar and rest of ingredients. Slowly fold in egg whites. Bake in two greased and floured 9 x 13 pans or four round pans at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

LEMON FILLING:

6 eggs, beaten
3/4 c. butter
3/4 c. lemon juice
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 (8 oz.) Cool Whip

Boil eggs, butter, lemon juice and sugar in double boiler until thick. Cool, then add Cool Whip. Use for filling between cake and also for frosting.
