POUND CAKE 
3/4 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter
6 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 1/4 c. flour (2 1/4 c. plain plus 1 c. self-rising)
1 sm. can milk plus water to equal 1 c.
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder

Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well each time. Sift flour with salt and baking powder. Add flour alternately with milk and water mixture (1 cup). Add flavoring and bake 1 hour 30 minutes or until done at 325 degrees.
