KATE'S GREAT GRANDMOTHERS' PECAN
NUT COOKIES
 
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 egg yolk
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream together the sugars, butter and egg yolk. In a large bowl combine the flour, pecans and vanilla. Add to the flour mixture, the creamed mixture. Chill the dough. Make walnut size balls and flatten with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
