MARIA'S FILLED LOAF 
1 unsliced loaf white bread
2 tbsp. melted butter

CRAB MEAT STEW:

2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 c. milk and crab meat liquid
Salt and pepper
1/2 tsp. parsley
12 oz. crab meat
6 tbsp. coarsely grated Cheddar cheese

1. Cut off top part of bread and remove most of the dough from the lower part. Brush the crust with melted butter inside and out.

2. Heat butter and flour for stew for a few minutes over low heat. Add milk and crab meat liquid and bring mixture to a boil for a few minutes. Reduce to low heat.

3. Season with salt, pepper, parsley and stir in crab meat.

4. Fill the loaf with stew and sprinkle the grated cheese on top. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 8 to 10 minutes until it has turned light brown.
