1/2 c. soft shortening
1/2 c. white sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. coconut

Mix thoroughly shortening, sugars, stir in eggs. Mix well, add milk, vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt. Stir in chips, coconut.
