ONE-TWO-THREE-FOUR CAKE 
1 c. (2 sticks) butter
2 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour
4 eggs, separated
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Beat butter and sugar until very light and creamy. Add the well beaten yolks of eggs, sift flour with salt and baking powder. Add milk a little at a time with flour.

Add vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in a preheated 350°F oven until done (about 35 minutes).
