OATMEAL CARMELITAS 
2 c. flour
2 c. quick cooking rolled oats
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/4 c. butter

FILLING:

1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped nuts
12 oz. caramel ice cream topping
3 tbsp. flour

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease (not oil) 9 x 13 pan. Combine crust ingredients; blend to form crumbs. Press half of crumbs into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes, remove from oven; sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Blend caramel topping and flour, drizzle over chocolate nuts. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Return to oven and bake 18-22 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into bars. 36 bars. Chill for easier cutting.
