BILLY'S FAVORITE CHICKEN SOUP 
1 (3-4 lb.) chicken
3-4 basil leaves
Salt
Pepper
Garlic salt
Rice
Noodles
Vegetables (your favorites - I use corn, peas, diced carrots, etc.)

Boil chicken in water spiced with basil leaves, salt, pepper, and garlic salt. Cook to desired tenderness. Debone and dice chicken. Remove from broth any bones or pieces of basil leaves. Put in chicken, desired amount of rice, noodles, and vegetables (several handsful should do it). Bring soup to a boil, then simmer covered for at least 1 hour before serving. Makes LOTS and is great for leftovers too!
