ORIENTAL BEEF | |
1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. sherry 1/2 tsp. garlic 1 tsp. A-1 sauce 1/8 tsp. ground ginger 1 lb. sirloin steak (boneless) 1 tbsp. vegetable oil Sprinkle celery salt 1/2 c. water 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. sherry 1 tbsp. cornstarch Hot cooked rice In small mixing bowl, blend 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sherry, garlic, ginger and A-1 sauce. Add beef and stir. Place oil in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Add beef mixture. Microwave on medium-high for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Stir once. Remove beef with slotted spoon. Save liquid. In a small mixing bowl, blend water, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sherry and cornstarch. Stir in the liquid from above. Cover and microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes or until liquid thickens, stirring once. Add mushrooms. Stir in beef. Microwave, uncovered, on medium-high for 30 seconds or until done. Serve over rice. |
