ORIENTAL BEEF
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. sherry
1/2 tsp. garlic
1 tsp. A-1 sauce
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1 lb. sirloin steak (boneless)
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
Sprinkle celery salt
1/2 c. water
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. sherry
1 tbsp. cornstarch
Hot cooked rice

In small mixing bowl, blend 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sherry, garlic, ginger and A-1 sauce. Add beef and stir.

Place oil in 1 1/2-quart casserole dish. Microwave on high for 1 minute. Add beef mixture. Microwave on medium-high for 3 to 3 1/2 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Stir once. Remove beef with slotted spoon. Save liquid.

In a small mixing bowl, blend water, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon sherry and cornstarch. Stir in the liquid from above. Cover and microwave on high for 5 to 6 minutes or until liquid thickens, stirring once. Add mushrooms.

Stir in beef. Microwave, uncovered, on medium-high for 30 seconds or until done. Serve over rice.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
