BAKED APPLES 
3 to 4 lbs. peeled Winesap apples
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sugar
Nutmeg
1/4 c. water

While peeling apples, place in salted cold water. Drain well; place in greased casserole dish. Sprinkle sugar, lemon juice and nutmeg over apples. Pour water over all. Cover with foil; cook 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove foil; cook 15 minutes more.
