BAKED APPLE DUMPLINGS 
DOUGH:

1 1/2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. butter

SYRUP:

1 c. sugar
1 c. cold water
1 tbsp. flour

Mix dry ingredients, butter and add enough milk to make dough. Roll out into a 1/4 inch sheet. Cover with 4 cup sliced apples. Dot with butter and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon. Roll up like jelly roll and slice in 2 inch pieces. Place in 9x13 pan cut side down. Make syrup of 1 cup sugar, 1 cup cold water, 1 tbsp. flour. Mix together and come to boil. Pour over dumplings and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
