BLUE RIBBON SUGAR COOKIES 
1 c. butter
1 c. oil
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. plus 4 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cream of tartar

Cream first five ingredients. Add others. Chill. Roll into balls and dip in granulated sugar. Flatten with a glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
