BARBECUED FLANK STEAK OR ROAST 
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 clove garlic, minced or mashed
1 tsp. ginger (ground)
2 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tbsp. salad oil
1 tbsp. instant minced onion
1/4 tsp. pepper

Combine all ingredients and marinate meat 6 hours or overnight, turning several times. Barbecue over hot coals 6 minutes, turn and baste with marinade, cook 6 more minutes for medium rare.
