CHEWY CHOCOLATE COOKIES 
1 1/4 c. softened butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine dry ingredients. Gradually blend into cream mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes, but do not over bake. Cookies will puff up while baking and flatten while cooling. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
