PEANUT BUTTER CRISS CROSSES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. peanut butter
3 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
Dash of salt

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugars and vanilla. Add eggs, beat thoroughly. Stir in peanut butter. Sift dry ingredients, stir into creamed mixture. Form into tiny ball, place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press with back of fork to make criss cross. Put fork in sugar to prevent cookie dough from sticking to fork. Bake in moderate oven, 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
