VEGGIE BURGER 
1 (approx 14.5 oz. / 400 grams) tin of black beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 green pepper, quartered
1/2 onion, halved
3 cloves garlic, peeled
1 egg
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
50 grams (2 oz) dried breadcrumbs

Step 1:

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190° Celsius / Gas mark 5), and lightly oil a baking tray.

Step 2:

In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until thick and pasty.

Step 3:

In a food processor, finely chop the green pepper, onion and garlic. Stir into the mashed beans.

Step 4:

In a small bowl, stir together the egg, chili powder, cumin and hot pepper sauce.

Step 5:

Stir the egg mixture into the mashed beans.Mix in the breadcrumbs until the mixture is sticky and holds together.Divide the mixture into four patties.

Step 6:

Place the patties on baking tray,and bake about 10 minutes on each side.
