NAVAJO FRY BREAD | |
2 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 pkg. yeast 2 tbsp. shortening 3/4 c. warm water or milk Mix together dry items and cut in shortening. Add milk or water to make a soft dough. Knead dough for 10 minutes. Set in warm place for 1 hour. Heat oil hot. Roll or pat dough into circles. Put in oil and hold down and cook until light brown. |
