APPLE BLUEBERRY CRISP | |
2 c. blueberries 2 c. peeled, sliced apples 1/2 c. light brown sugar 2/3 c. sifted flour 1/2 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten 3 tbsp. butter, melted Cinnamon for topping Combine blueberries and apple slices, place in buttered baking dish and sprinkle with brown sugar, using more or less according to tartness of the fruit. Sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add beaten egg, stirring until all is in coarse crumbs; sprinkle over fruit. Drizzle melted butter over the top and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Bake about 35 minutes in 375 degree oven or until top is crusty and apples tender. Serve warm with cream or Cool Whip. Serves 6. |
