POLISH POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1 sm. can evaporated milk
Butternut flavoring
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. cherries

Cream Crisco, butter and sugar together. Then add 5 eggs one at a time. Add water to evaporated milk to make 1 cup. Add flour and evaporated milk mixture alternately. Add 2 teaspoons butternut flavoring, nuts and cherries. Bake in tube pan.

Put in cold oven and put temperature to 300 degrees. Bake for 2 hours. Remove from oven and take out of pan right away.
