3 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 stick butter
2 c. milk
3 egg yolks, save whites
Dash of salt
1 tbsp. vanilla flavoring

Brown 1 deep 8" pie shell; set aside to cool. Mix all ingredients except vanilla flavoring, in a pan, bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. When mixture thickens, add vanilla flavoring. Pour into pie shell. Beat the egg whites until stiff and 1/2 cup sugar. Pour on top of pie, bake at 350 degrees until egg whites are brown.
