1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
36 marshmallows
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 c. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. nuts

Combine shortening, sugar, egg, vanilla, cocoa, flour, soda, salt, and milk. Mix until smooth. Drop cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. When done, top each cookie with a half marshmallows (cut side down) and return to oven 1 minute. Cool and frost cookies with favorite chocolate frosting. Decorate each cookie with a half nut placed on top.
