COCONUT POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. Crisco
2 1/4 c. sugar
3 c. White Lily flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
7 oz. flaked coconut
5 eggs
2 tsp. coconut flavoring

Cream together Crisco and sugar. Add eggs to mixture, one at a time. Beat well after each addition, then beat 10 minutes at high speed. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture alternately with milk to sugar mixture. Blend well after each addition. Fold in coconut and coconut flavoring. Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Begin baking in a COLD OVEN turned to 325 degrees for 1 hour 25 minutes.
