BEEF MINCED MEAT W/ VARIATIONS 
1 lb. ground beef (minced meat)
1 large onion
2 garlic cloves
pinch of salt
pinch of turmeric
pinch of paprika
1 beef stock cube, crumbled
1 tbsp. apricot jam (jelly)
2 tbsp. oil.

Slice and dice onions and garlic. Stir fry in oil until soft. Add salt and spices. Add stock cube, apricot jam, stir and add minced meat. Stir and fry until water content of minced beef starts to release. Turn down heat and reduce until oil is clear.

Variations (mix and match): 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper; 1 tablespoon curry powder; 4 tablespoons tomato paste; freshly ground black pepper.

Serve on top of pasta, rice or potatoes as a main meal or for breakfast, with toast and sunny-side eggs.

Serves 3 to 4.
