1 c. butter, softened 1 c. brown sugar 1 egg yolk 2 tsp. vanilla 1 7/8 c.all-purpose flour 6 milk chocolate bars (1.65 oz. each) 1 c. chopped toasted almonds or pecans Cream together butter and sugar. Add egg yolk and vanilla; gradually beat in flour until smooth and blended. (Dough will be thick.) Spread evenly on ungreased 16x14x1 baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes until golden brown. Arrange chocolate bars evenly over crust while hot and let melt. Sprinkle with nuts. Cool. Cut into squares. |
