GERMAN-ITALIAN MEAT LOAF | |
2 lb. ground round beef 1/2 lb. pork sausage 1 c. bread crumbs 1 sm. can sauerkraut, drained 2 apples, grated 2 eggs 2 med. onions, chopped 1 tsp. parsley flakes 1/2 tsp. oregano leaves 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper 2 sm. cans tomato sauce Combine all ingredients in the order given. Add 1 can of tomato sauce to the mixture and reserve 1 can of tomato sauce to pour over the top of loaf before baking. Place mixture in standard size loaf pan. Pour over the reserved sauce. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes to 1 hour. Makes 6-8 servings. |
