NEW ENGLAND STYLE CHOWDER 
1/4 c. salt pork
1 c. sliced celery
1/4 c. minced onion
2 cans cream of potato soup
2 cans milk
1 c. cooked cubed carrots
1 (16 oz.) can drained kernel corn
1 lb. fish fillets, cut in 1/2" cubes And/or 12 oz. clams
Optional:
Dash pepper
1 bay leaf

Brown salt pork. Remove it and cook celery and onion until tender. Add remaining ingredients and salt pork, bring to a boil and simmer 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf and serve.
