BULGUR WHEAT CHILI 
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. chopped onion
2/3 c. bulgur wheat
1 1/3 c. water or chicken soup
1 c. tomato sauce
2 c. kidney beans or pinto beans
1 tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. sweet basil
Freshly ground black pepper to taste

In a large frying pan saute onion in vegetable oil. Stir in bulgur wheat and let toast slightly. Add water, cover, and let simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until bulgur wheat becomes tender. Add remaining ingredients, pepper to taste. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.

Chili tastes better if allow to be refrigerated a few hours or overnight.
