HUCKLEBERRY COBBLER 
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
2 1/2 c. berries & juice, sweetened
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Cream sugar and shortening. Add milk, flour, baking powder and salt. Spread on bottom of baking dish. Then pour berries over the top. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and dot with butter. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
