2/3 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. grated orange peel
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. milk (more if too dry)

Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and orange peel and mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients and stir into cream mixture alternately with milk. Mix well. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll out dough and cut. Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes.
