CHERRY CREAM DESSERT 
6 egg whites, beaten stiff
3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla.

Mix 2 cups crushed soda crackers and 3/4 cup chopped nuts.

Add to egg white mixture. Mix well and pour into a well greased pan (approximately) 13 by 9. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, cool. Top with 1 can cherry pie mix filling. Spread over the baked crumb crust. Spread 9 ounce Cool Whip on top. Let stand in refrigerator for 5 hours.
