1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix 1 1/2 sticks melted butter 1 sm. can evaporated milk 1 (14 oz.) bag caramels 1 c. chopped nuts 1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips Melt caramels with 1/3 cup of milk. Mix together cake mix, butter, other 1/3 cup of milk and nuts. Press half of cake mixture in a 9x13 greased pan. Bake 350, 6 minutes. Sprinkle chips over layer, pour caramel mixture over chips. Drop by spoon remaining dough over caramel mixture. Bake 350 degrees 15-20 minutes. Let cool and cut. |
