PICANTE SAUCE 
1 lb. c. ripe tomatoes
4 c. onions, chopped
2 c. jalapeno peppers, seeded & chopped
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. garlic salt
2 tbsp. black pepper
2 tsp. cumino seeds
1 tsp. alum
2 tsp. chili powder

Cook all ingredients together 1 1/2-2 hours. Seal in pint jars. Makes 8 cups.
